There was formerly a wall separating the kitchen from the dining area, isolating the cook from the rest of the group, making this space unideal for entertaining. +
By knocking down this wall, we completely opened up the space and created an inviting and relaxing environment for all. To keep with the open and airy feel of the new space, the homeowners opted for light-colored cabinets and walls, but wanted to contrast it by having the peninsula with darker cabinets. The new kitchen was outfitted with custom granite countertops that are able with stand the wear and tear of a growing family. This gut rehab created a space that will suit the needs of this family for years to come.
